Big Red Poppy! This painting is my first attempt at oil painting. So far I absolutely love oil paints. The colors are more rich and vibrant then with acrylic paint. If you can't tell I draw inspiration from Georgia O'Keeffe. This painting is still in progress I'll post pictures of the finished product soon!

Museums Are Not Boring

I have just started a myawesome new job at the museum and let me tell you anyone who says a museum is boring needs to spend a day at my job. I never knew so much went on behind the scenes. Just today there was everything from construction to restraining orders at one I even switched clothing with my boss. Crazy but fun. Really there is whole lot of work put into everything you see and do at the museum and nothing ever seems to go off quite as planned. It's a very interesting place one for the art and two for all the crazy stuff that goes on.

You Can Call Me May Jay!

Hi, there blogging world! My name is Mary but you can call me May Jay. I'm giving this whole blogging thing a try. Everyone tells me its so much fun. I've never been very good at writing I'm better if you asked me to draw you picture but I'll give blogging a shot. Just as a note I'm a terrible speller so if you see something misspelled don't bother telling me please just let me live thinking that's how it's spelled. Everyone from my mother to my teachers have tried to help with this problem to no avail. Now I choose to live in blissful ignorance and rely on spell check. I have no real idea what I'm going to write about. It will most likely be about art but who knows I may take up sky diving and just want to talk about that. So here goes ...
